Dr. Sumei Mai grew up in San Francisco and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCSF School of Dentistry. She went on to serve as a Captain in the United States Army while completing her Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Dr. Mai chose to become an Army Dental Officer to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, particularly in caring for our Soldiers, and she remains deeply proud of her service to the military community
